Transformation Tuesday

January 16, 2018

Todays Transformation Tuesday Spotlight is Miss. Latrice from Detroit. She is making GREAT strides towards her weight loss goals. Below is her story,

My transformation journey begin when I really took a look in the mirror and realized that I let myself go. I broke down and cried about how unhappy I was mentally and physically. I gave myself about a 10 minute pity party and said I’m just going to have to make some sacrifices and get a trainer. Training was not an easy process in the beginning, I wanted to give up because I really had to put some serious effort in the workouts and eating right. I worked out 5-6 days a week doing 2 sessions a day for 4 months. I stuck to my low carb/high protein diet that was laid out for me. After I made it to week 2 I knew I couldn’t just give up so i didn’t. Week after week I got better and I started getting addicted to seeing results. I read daily devotions, prayed and my trainer sends motivational messages every day through his app( Grindtime Fitness motivation). My biggest motivation was self motivation! I knew I wasn’t doing it for anyone else but me. We often depend on others stamp of approval but not this time. In life you can sink or swim and I feel like that about your health. You can choose to be healthy and live(swim) or unhealthy and spiral out of control and may even die early or just get really sick(sink). You have to be able to be honest with yourself and stop making excuses as to why your making bad choices. Anyone can start something but not everyone will follow through and finish. My advise would always be that everyone has a different journey so never compare yours with anyone else. Give your best effort and the results will follow. Once you shift your mind the body has no choice but to follow. ~Philippians 4:13
