So I realized I haven't given you a 1 year update in my life since I started Simply Kaye smh. This year I promise to do better with letting you into my life and seeing my progress in efforts to help and continue to motivate y'all. 2019 I want to make not only myself healthier, but also my community. As you can see the shifting focus for Simply Kaye will be more evident as the months go by. We are here to promote healthy lifestyle changes and address health issues the effect the minority community that could be corrected by simple food and fitness changes, but back to my one year updated so lets see.....2018 I wasn't in the gym like I should have been nor eating like I should have been, but thankfully I only gained maybe 10 pounds the whole year. Even though I only gained 10 pounds I could tell my over all health was compromised. I was tired all the time, getting more winded walking not long distances even going upstairs. I promised myself that 2019 I will be in the best shape of my life and I am going to keep that promise to ME. Starting with Whole30 the month of January is going to set the tone for the rest of my year. I turn 30 this year so why not go into a new decade THE RIGHT WAY. January 2 I got on the scale and weight in at 162.4 lbs my body fat is 29.4% and my BMI is 26.6 . I need to get to about 140-145 lbs under 25% for bmi and If I could drop to maybe 20% body fat that would be ideal. My plan is to be in the gym 3-5 days per week burning at least 500 calories in an hour. After Whole30 I'll start my meal prep, when that time comes I'll keep you all updated. Make sure you follow my IG page @simplykayeblog to keep up to date with my day to day especially Whole30 and also to keep me accountable. I will make this year the healthiest year of my life just you watch!
