Day 18 of Whole30

The Struggle is REAL!!! I have been super sleepy, headaches, attitudes the whole 9. There's this calendar I found online that depicts the day to day feelings during Whole30 and so far it hasn't been wrong. When Whole30 started I had about 15 people that were down for the challenge now that we are on day 18 we are down to about 5 lol. This challenge definitely isn't for the weak and you have to have your mind right at the start, but it really does work to get your body in better space. I have been fighting with myself over sugar withdrawal, wine withdrawal, hamburger with a bread bun withdrawal I miss it all. During this time I have gained a new perspective on food and drink and I'm not sure if this was one of the intentions of Whole30, but it sparked a thought in my mind. Our addiction to food is our downfall. We have been trained to "need" chocolate or "need" wine to relax after a bad day instead of going for a run or read a book with some relaxing music in the background. This further made me think my change for Simply Kaye is a necessity if we want to grow as a healthier society we have to break free from that "bad food" rules us mentality. As I continue on this Whole30/Simply Kaye journey we will figure out how to master the change "love of food" mentality and how minor adjustments in our daily eating habits can help us add years to our lives.
