Did you know that 49% of black women and 44% of black mean have higher rates of hear disease in comparison to our non-Hispanic counter parts and between the ages of 45-64 black men have a 70% high risk of developing heart failure than they non- Hispanic counter parts. We are the face of hypertension we have the highest rates in the world with black women leading the pack. Black Americans are also 77% more likely to be diagnosed with Diabetes in comparison to White Americans. With these alarming numbers WHY ARE WE NOT MAKING A CONSCIOUS EFFORT TO CHANGE? Are we scared to change our eating habits? Too lazy to walk up the stairs at work or park in the back of the parking lot at the malls and stores? Is that cigarette so good it's worth dying for?
